RYNI

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 3, 2026

This policy explains how RYNI handles information when you use joinryni.com to create an account, post a home project, find work, compare bids, and communicate with other users.

Project information is used to connect customers with relevant contractors and support their project workflow. Be careful not to include identification documents, financial account details, or other unnecessary sensitive information in photos or messages.

Information we collect

Sign in with Google

If you choose Google sign-in, we receive basic account information such as your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile picture when supplied. We use this information to create or identify your RYNI account, sign you in, and display your profile. Account records are stored through our authentication and database provider.

Google sign-in does not give RYNI your Google password. Our sign-in flow does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, or contacts. Basic Google profile information may appear to other users as part of your RYNI identity when you interact with them; it is not a grant of access to your Google account.

You can manage or revoke the connection in your Google Account connections. Disconnecting Google does not automatically delete information already stored in RYNI. Contact us if you also want your RYNI account or data deleted.

How we use information

We use information to operate accounts, match projects to contractors, display project and business information, deliver messages and notifications, record bids and project progress, respond to support requests, and investigate errors, spam, abuse, or disputes.

Who can see information

Project descriptions, photos, videos, transcriptions, approximate location, and relevant project details are shared only with relevant signed-in contractors through the project workflow. They are not public project posts. The exact address is withheld until the homeowner chooses to share it with a selected contractor. A homeowner may also choose to share contact information through the project conversation. Information voluntarily included in descriptions, media, recordings, or attachments may reveal an address or other details, so review them before submitting.

Messages, bids, invoices, and attachments are shared with the participants in the relevant conversation or project. Contractor business information and project reviews may be visible to users considering that contractor. Authorized RYNI administrators may access information to operate the service, provide support, and handle reports. “Private” does not mean inaccessible to administrators or the providers needed to deliver the service.

People who receive your information may keep their own copies. RYNI cannot control copies taken outside the service.

Service providers and automated processing

RYNI uses Cloudflare for website delivery and basic operational measurement, Supabase for authentication, database and file storage, and email delivery services such as Resend for notifications. Google handles Google sign-in. These providers process information needed to perform their services. Google Analytics is not currently enabled. If RYNI enables it or another optional analytics product, this policy and any required choices will be updated before that use begins.

Project text and selected photos may be sent to OpenAI for automated content checks. Where voice transcription is available and you use it, your recording is sent for conversion to text. The transcription becomes part of the project description when you submit it; temporary recovery audio may remain on your device until it is cleared. Automated results can be inaccurate, so review generated text before submitting it. Providing microphone access is optional.

Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or when necessary to investigate abuse, protect users and the service, or address a dispute.

Storage, security, and retention

RYNI uses browser storage for sign-in sessions, preferences, and temporary drafts. Where available, signed-in drafts and uploaded media are saved to the service. Voice-recording recovery may keep a copy on your device; use its delete control or clear site data to remove that local copy. Clearing browser data can remove unsynced drafts.

We retain account and project records to provide the service and maintain project histories. Archiving a project does not delete it. Retention may also be necessary for security, disputes, or legal requirements. Deletion requests are handled through support, and backup copies or records that must be retained may remain after active records are removed. We do not promise an automatic deletion period.

Access controls and secure connections help protect information, but no website or storage system can guarantee complete security. Service providers may process information outside your state or country.

Your choices and requests

You can edit available account details in Settings, manage available notification preferences, and control camera, microphone, and location permissions in your browser. To request access, correction, or deletion of account information, use Contact RYNI and identify the email associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Additional privacy rights may apply depending on where you live.

Children’s information

RYNI is intended for adults arranging home projects or offering services, not for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

Policy updates and contact

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email. Questions about this policy or your information can be sent through Contact RYNI.
